Ohio High School Soccer - Shaw toppled by Lutheran West
September 26, 2024: Rocky River, OH 44116 Lutheran West Longhorns (Rocky River, OH) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Shaw Cardinals (East Cleveland, OH), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Lutheran West moves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Keystone (La Grange, OH) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 1. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 3-7. Keystone lost 5-0 in their recent league test against Columbia (Columbia Station, OH)
The Cardinals now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bedford for a Lake Erie - Erie test on Tuesday, October 1. Shaw will meet a Bearcats team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Coventry (Akron, OH). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-6.
