Illinois High School Soccer - Lake Park toppled by Leyden
September 26, 2024: Roselle, IL 60172 Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL), 6-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Leyden advances its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Proviso East (Maywood, IL) to clash with the Pirates in a West Suburban - Gold test on Tuesday, October 1. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 6-4.
The Lancers now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Palatine for a non-league test on Saturday, September 28. Lake Park will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 0-0 league Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 6-4.
