In Thursday's league match, the Frederick Cadets (Frederick, MD) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Cadets battle the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots (Frederick, MD) in a MVAL - Piedmont match, on Tuesday, October 1. Frederick will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD).

The (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Linganore (Frederick, MD). The Lancers enter the MVAL - Piedmont match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Linganore notched a victory over Tuscarora (Frederick, MD), 3-2, in a league match.
