In Friday's non-league match, the host Thomas Sumter Academy Generals football squad scored a good 35-17 victory over the American Leadership Academy Patriots.

The Generals (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Clarendon Hall (Summerton, SC). The Saints go into the SCISA 2A Region II battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Clarendon Hall was topped by Andrew Jackson Academy (Ehrhardt, SC), 34-0, in a non-league battle.

The Patriots now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Saluda for a AA Region 2 battle on Friday, October 3. American Leadership Academy will play a Tigers team coming off a 35-7 non-league loss to Newberry (Newberry, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
