September 26, 2025: Toledo, IL 62468 The Cumberland Pirates walloped the visiting Arcola Purple Riders football team by a score of 40-0 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates play the Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm (Niantic, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie challenge, on Friday, October 3. Cumberland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Storm come into the test with a 1-4 record after their 28-20 league loss to Nokomis (Nokomis, IL).
With the defeat, Arcola drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Purple riders travel to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL) to meet the Knights in a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Friday, October 3. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond won 14-7 in their recent league challenge against Sullivan (Sullivan, IL)
