The Metamora Redbirds walloped the host Canton Little Giants football team by a score of 61-16 in Friday's league test.

The Redbirds now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pekin for a Mid-Illini test on Friday, October 3. Metamora will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 21-13 league win over Morton (Morton, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Canton drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Little giants host Dunlap (Dunlap, IL) to meet the Eagles in a Mid-Illini test on Friday, October 3. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 5-0. Dunlap won 48-0 in their recent league test against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL)
