In Friday's league match, the host La Pryor Bulldogs football squad scored a good 33-18 triumph over the Center Point Pirates.

The Bulldogs (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Brackett (Brackettville, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A-2 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Brackett toppled D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX), 63-6, in a league challenge.

The Pirates (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sabinal (Sabinal, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A-2 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Sabinal knocked off Somerset Academy Collegiate (San Antonio, TX), 58-20, in a non-league test.
