The Hico Tigers walloped the host Florence Buffaloes football team by a score of 57-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers face the De Leon Bearcats (De Leon, TX) in a 2A-1 Region II District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Hico will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the test with a 3-2 record after their 47-16 non-league loss to Muenster (Muenster, TX).
