September 26, 2025: Malvern, PA 19355 Malvern Prep Friars (Malvern, PA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC), 31-24 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Malvern Prep upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Friars travel to Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA) to play the Patriots in a Inter-Academic battle on Saturday, October 11. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Germantown Academy won 19-14 in their recent non-league battle against Peddie (Hightstown, NJ)
The Eagles now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Benedictine for a non-league battle on Friday, October 3. Gonzaga will confront a Cadets squad coming off a 35-21 non-league win over St. Christopher's (Richmond, VA). The Cadets record now stands at 5-0.
