The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Greenwood Eagles (Greenwood, SC) and the visiting Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC), witnessed Greenwood's football team nip Hillcrest by a final score of 24-20.

With the win, Greenwood betters its record to 4-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mauldin (Mauldin, SC) to battle the Mavericks in a AAAAA Region 1 contest on Friday, October 3. The Mavericks enter the contest with a record of 2-3. Mauldin lost 28-21 in their recent league contest against T.L. Hanna (Anderson, SC)
