The Massac County Patriots football team (Metropolis, IL), was tipped 28-21 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Harrisburg Bulldogs (Harrisburg, IL)

With the win, Harrisburg advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Carterville (Carterville, IL) to encounter the Lions in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio bout on Friday, October 3. The Lions enter the contest with a record of 5-0. Carterville won 35-15 in their recent non-league contest against Hopkinsville (Hopkinsville, KY)

Coming up next, the Patriots confront the Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio contest, on Friday, October 3.
