In Friday's non-league match, the host Heritage Patriots football squad scored a good 30-20 triumph over the Tipton Blue Devils.

The Patriots (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Bluffton (Bluffton, IN). The Tigers come into the Allen County match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Bluffton defeated Southern Wells (Poneto, IN), 47-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Blue Devils confront the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights (Lafayette, IN) in a Hoosier - Small School battle, on Friday, October 3. Tipton will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 1-5 record after their 40-7 league loss to Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN).
