The Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ) football knocked off the visiting St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ), 38-26 in Friday's league outing.

The Braves now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Brick Township for a non-league outing on Friday, October 3. Manalapan will clash with a Green Dragons squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Green Dragons record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, St. John-Vianney drops to 2-3 on the year. The Lancers host Red Bank Catholic (Red Bank, NJ) to battle the Caseys in a non-league game on Friday, October 3.
