The Mildred Eagles football team (Corsicana, TX), was crushed 63-26 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX)

With the win, Westwood advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Crockett (Crockett, TX) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 3A-1 Region III District 9 bout on Friday, October 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Crockett won 41-7 in their recent non-league bout against Tarkington (Cleveland, TX)

The Eagles now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Frankston for a 2A-1 Region II District 8 bout on Thursday, October 9. Mildred will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 58-7 non-league win over Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Indians record now stands at 5-0.
