Massachusetts High School Football - Newton North holds off Newton South
September 26, 2025: Newton, MA 02459 The Newton North Tigers football squad scored 12 points and limited the host Newton South Lions to 7 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Framingham for a Bay State - Carey test on Friday, October 3. Newton North will clash with a Flyers squad coming off a 29-12 non-league win over Braintree (Braintree, MA). The Flyers record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Newton South drops to 1-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Boston Latin (Boston, MA) to battle the Wolfpack in a non-league game on Friday, October 3. The Wolfpack enter the game with a record of 2-2. Boston Latin lost 34-14 in their recent non-league game against Boston Latin Academy (Dorchester, MA)
