The Woodruff Wolverines football team (Woodruff, SC), dropped 35-7 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Wren Hurricanes (Piedmont, SC)

With the win, Wren advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Hurricanes host Emerald (Greenwood, SC) to battle the Vikings in a AAAA Region 1 contest on Friday, October 3. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 3-2. Emerald lost 35-13 in their recent non-league contest against Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC)

Coming up next, the Wolverines battle the Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) in a AAA Region 3 contest, on Friday, October 3. Woodruff will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Centurions enter the contest with a 3-3 record after their 40-7 non-league win over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, SC).
