Parkland Trojans (Allentown, PA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Pleasant Valley Bears (Brodheadsville, PA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans confront the Emmaus Hornets (Emmaus, PA) in a Eastern Penn - Skyline challenge, on Friday, October 1. Parkland will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Nazareth Area (Nazareth, PA).

The Bears now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stroudsburg for a Eastern Penn - Mountain challenge on Wednesday, September 29. Pleasant Valley will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Emmaus (Emmaus, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-3.
