The Boyd County Spartans held off the visiting Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans now have a 5-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 27. Boyd County will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE). The Bobcats record now stands at 14-6.
