In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Boyd County Lions volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Spring Valley Timberwolves .

The Lions (24-3) will now prepare for their battle against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats come into the District 64 battle with a 15-4 record.
