Maine High School Football - Washington Academy loses to Bucksport
September 27, 2024: East Machias, ME 04630 Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), 48-34 in a league battle.
With the win, Bucksport advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Golden Bucks host Orono (Orono, ME) to encounter the Riots in a 8-Man Small North (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 4. The Riots go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Orono lost 34-8 in their recent league battle against Stearns/Schenck (Millinocket, ME)
The Raiders now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Dexter/Piscataquis for a 8-Man Small North (8 Man) battle on Saturday, October 5. Washington Academy will encounter a team coming off a 42-6 league win over Madawaska/Fort Kent/Wisdom (Fort Kent, ME). The record now stands at 1-3.
