The Hornets now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sidney for a non-league test on Friday, October 4. Lometa will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 60-14 non-league loss to Cherokee (Cherokee, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, Covington drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Penelope (Penelope, TX) to meet the Wolverines in a non-league test on Friday, October 4. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 4-1. Penelope won 52-30 in their recent non-league test against Mount Calm (Mount Calm, TX)
