Massachusetts High School Football - Winthrop tops Danvers
September 27, 2024: Winthrop, MA 02152 The Winthrop Vikings football squad scored 34 points and limited the visiting Danvers Falcons to 7 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Saugus for a Northeastern - South test on Friday, October 4. Winthrop will meet a Sachems squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Lynn Vo-Tech (Lynn, MA). The Sachems record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Danvers drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Falcons host Beverly (Beverly, MA) to meet the Panthers in a Northeastern - North test on Friday, October 4. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Beverly lost 32-21 in their recent non-league test against Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA)
