In Friday's non-league match, the host DeSoto Central Jaguars football squad scored a good 28-7 victory over the Olive Branch Conquistadors.

The Jaguars (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Grenada (Grenada, MS). The Chargers enter the non-league match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Grenada thwarted Bartlett (Bartlett, TN), 34-10, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Conquistadors confront the Center Hill Mustangs (Olive Branch, MS) in a 6A Region 1 match, on Thursday, October 3. Olive Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 4-2 record after their 22-21 non-league win over Hernando (Hernando, MS).
