September 27, 2024: Huntsville, AL 35802 Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors (Huntsville, AL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Gaston Bulldogs (Gadsden, AL), 41-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Whitesburg Christian Academy advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL) to play the Broncos in a 3A Region 8 battle on Friday, October 4. The Broncos go into the battle with a record of 2-4. Holly Pond lost 55-6 in their recent league battle against Geraldine (Geraldine, AL)
The Bulldogs now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Section for a 2A Region 7 battle on Friday, October 4. Gaston will play a Lions team coming off a 41-14 non-league loss to Appalachian (Oneonta, AL). The Lions record now stands at 1-5.
