September 27, 2024: Des Moines, IA 50310 Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Hoover Huskies (Des Moines, IA), 56-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Gilbert advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Carlisle (Carlisle, IA) to play the Wildcats in a 4A District 4 battle on Friday, October 4. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 0-4. Carlisle lost 34-15 in their recent league battle against Pella (Pella, IA)
The Huskies now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar for a 4A District 4 battle on Friday, October 4. Hoover will play a Bluejays team coming off a 49-28 league loss to Newton (Newton, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 0-6.
