Maine High School Football - Nokomis can't hold off Hermon

Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME), 28-26 in a league battle.

With the win, Hermon advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Hawks host Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to play the Ponies in a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. The Ponies go into the battle with a record of 4-0. Foxcroft Academy won 20-6 in their recent league battle against Mattanawcook/Lee Academy/Penobscot Valley (Lincoln, ME)

The Warriors now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Hampden for a C North battle on Saturday, October 5. Nokomis will play a Broncos team coming off a 18-0 league loss to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME). The Broncos record now stands at 2-2.
