The Klondike Cougars football squad scored 53 points and limited the host Irion County Hornets to 6 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Cross for a non-league test on Thursday, October 10.

With the defeat, Irion County drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Robert Lee (Robert Lee, TX) to clash with the Steers in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region II District 8 (6 Man) test on Friday, October 11. The Steers come into the test with a record of 3-2.
