In Friday's non-league game, the Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) football team triumphed over the visiting Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), by a tally of 53-12.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 4. Sandburg will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 3-2 record after their 28-6 league win over Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL).

The Mustangs (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Vikings enter the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Homewood-Flossmoor was trounced by Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL), 48-7, in a league game.
