The Slaton Tigers were victorious over the host Morton Indians football team by a score of 34-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX) in a 3A-2 Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Slaton will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 24-20 non-league loss to Shallowater (Shallowater, TX).

The Indians (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Longhorns enter the 2A-2 Region I District 2 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Lockney ran past Clarendon (Clarendon, TX), 29-20, in a non-league challenge.
