Louisiana High School Football - Riverdale Academy crushed by River Oaks
September 27, 2024: Monroe, LA 71203 River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Riverdale Academy Rebels (Coushatta, LA), 52-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, River Oaks improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Union Christian Academy (Farmerville, LA) to play the Lions in a MAIS 8-Man 1A District 2 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 4. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 2-4. Union Christian Academy lost 46-0 in their recent league battle against Claiborne Academy (Haynesville, LA)
The Rebels now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin Academy for a MAIS 8-Man 1A District 3 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 4. Riverdale Academy will play a Cougars team coming off a 48-6 league loss to Wilkinson County Christian Academy (Woodville, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 0-6.
