The Wheeler Mustangs walloped the visiting Sanford-Fritch Eagles football team by a score of 56-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX) in a 2A-2 Region II District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 11. Wheeler will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 18-0 non-league loss to Hamlin (Hamlin, TX).

The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Panhandle (Panhandle, TX). The Panthers go into the 2A-1 Region I District 1 challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Panhandle bounced Wellington (Wellington, TX), 41-21, in a non-league challenge.
