California High School Football - Monte Vista thwarted by Grossmont
September 27, 2024: El Cajon, CA 92021 Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), 35-12 in a league battle.
With the win, Grossmont improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Foothillers travel to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to play the Matadors in a battle on Friday, October 4. The Matadors go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Mount Miguel lost 42-0 in their recent non-league battle against Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA)
The Monarchs now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host El Capitan for a battle on Friday, October 4. Monte Vista will play a Vaqueros team coming off a 14-9 non-league win over Montgomery (San Diego, CA). The Vaqueros record now stands at 3-2.
