September 27, 2024: Tucson, AZ 85713 Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Cholla Chargers (Tucson, AZ), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sunnyside improves its record to 6-9 on the season. The Blue Devils host Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ) to encounter the Badgers in a 6A - South test on Tuesday, October 1. The Badgers go into the test with a record of 11-8. Tucson High Magnet School won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ)
The Chargers now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Douglas for a 4A - Gila test on Monday, September 30. Cholla will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-2.
