Colorado High School Football - Legacy thwarted by Horizon
September 27, 2025: Thornton, CO 80602 Horizon Hawks (Thornton, CO) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Legacy Lightning (Broomfield, CO), 28-6 in a league battle.
With the win, Horizon upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Fort Collins (Fort Collins, CO) to meet the Lambkins in a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. The Lambkins come into the test with a record of 5-0. Fort Collins won 28-13 in their recent non-league test against Fossil Ridge (Fort Collins, CO)
With the defeat, Legacy drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Lightning travel to Mullen (Denver, CO) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 9. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Mullen lost 20-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Regis Jesuit (Aurora, CO)
