Illinois High School Soccer - St. Teresa toppled by Newton
September 27, 2025: Decatur, IL 62526 Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL), 4-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Newton advances its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL) to play the Wooden Shoes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 30. The Wooden Shoes go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Teutopolis won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Centralia (Centralia, IL)
With the loss, St. Teresa moves to 5-9 on the year. The Bulldogs host St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL) to play the Sabers in a non-league bout on Monday, September 29. The Sabers go into the bout with a record of 8-5. St. Thomas More lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Danville (Danville, IL)
