Illinois High School Soccer - Olympia toppled by Pleasant Plains
September 27, 2025: Stanford, IL 61774 Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL), 7-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Pleasant Plains moves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Lutheran (Springfield, IL) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 1. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 7-2.
The Spartans now sport a 1-12 record. They take the field next when they host Springfield Southeast for a non-league outing on Monday, September 29. Olympia will confront a Spartans squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 2-11.
