The Mountain Range Mustangs edged the visiting Poudre Impalas softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs play the Brighton Bulldogs (Brighton, CO) in a 5A/4A Rocky Mountain battle, on Tuesday, September 30. Mountain Range will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 10-6 record after their 18-0 non-league win over Rangeview (Aurora, CO).

With the loss, Poudre moves to 3-16 on the season. The Impalas travel to Fossil Ridge (Fort Collins, CO) to meet the SaberCats in a 5A/4A Northern challenge on Tuesday, September 30. The SaberCats go into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Fossil Ridge lost 10-4 in their recent league challenge against Fort Collins (Fort Collins, CO)
