September 27, 2025: Yorkville, IL 60560 Yorkville Christian Mustangs (Yorkville, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Yorkville Christian improves its record to 9-10 on the season. The Mustangs travel to St. Bede (Peru, IL) to face the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 30. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. St. Bede won 2-1 in their recent league test against Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL)
The Golden Eagles now sport a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prairie Ridge for a Fox Valley test on Tuesday, September 30. Jacobs will face a Wolves squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 14-2.
