Kentucky High School Volleyball - Shelby Valley over Rockcastle County
September 27, 2025: Mt. Vernon, KY 40456 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Shelby Valley Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Rockcastle County Rockets.
The Wildcats (24-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY). The Colonels enter the non-league challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, Whitley County beat Madison Southern (Berea, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Rockets now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerset Christian for a non-league test on Monday, September 29. Rockcastle County will face a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 14-6.
