September 28, 2023: Hillsville, VA 24343 The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) football routed the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 40-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 5. Carroll County will attempt to advance on its 3-0 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 32-6 non-league win over Radford (Radford, VA).
The Knights (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Chargers enter the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Bath County walloped Narrows (Narrows, VA), 24-6, in a non-league bout.
