The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) and the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), observed Chase's football squad defeat Draughn by a count of 36-6.

The Trojans now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Brevard for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 5. Chase will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 54-6 non-league win over R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-0.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 5. Draughn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 44-15 non-league loss to Union Academy (Monroe, NC).
