September 28, 2023: Fairmont, NC 28340 The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes football team (Fairmont, NC), was beaten 16-6 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC)
The Raiders (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, West Bladen was beaten by Clinton (Clinton, NC), 56-53, in a non-league challenge.
The Golden Tornadoes now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Pauls for a challenge on Thursday, October 5. Fairmont will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 30-0 league win over Red Springs (Red Springs, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.
