The Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) volleyball overcame the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), 2-0 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Eastern Mennonite upgrades its record to 7-1 on the year. The Flames travel to Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA) to play the Turtles in a bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Turtles go into the bout with a record of 0-5.

The Gryphons now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Grace Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, September 29. New Covenant will play a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Fresta Valley Christian (Marshall, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-5.
