In Saturday's league match, the host Quilcene Rangers football squad scored a close 28-26 victory over the Charles Wright Tarriers.

The Rangers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Muckleshoot Tribal (Auburn, WA). The Kings enter the 1B Northwest (8 Man) match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Muckleshoot Tribal was nudged by Neah Bay (Neah Bay, WA), 66-18, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Tarriers confront the Tulalip Heritage Hawks (Marysville, WA) in a 1B Northwest (8 Man) match, on Saturday, October 5. Charles Wright will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 4-0 record after their 36-16 league win over Lummi (Bellingham, WA).
