California High School Football - Gonzales thwarted by Santa Cruz
September 28, 2024: Santa Cruz, CA 95060 Santa Cruz Cardinals (Santa Cruz, CA) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Gonzales Spartans (Gonzales, CA), 20-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Santa Cruz advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA) to play the Pirates in a battle on Saturday, October 12. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 3-1.
The Spartans now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Stevenson for a battle on Saturday, October 5. Gonzales will play a Pirates team coming off a 21-14 league loss to Harbor (Santa Cruz, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-1.
