September 28, 2024: Litchfield, IL 62056 Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL), 7-5 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Civic Memorial moves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host Belleville West (Belleville, IL) to clash with the Maroons in a non-league test on Monday, September 30. The Maroons come into the test with a record of 8-4. Belleville West lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Columbia (Columbia, IL)
The Purple Panthers now sport a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host North Mac for a South Central test on Tuesday, October 1. Litchfield will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Meridian/Sangamon Valley (Macon, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-16.
