In Thursday's league match, the host Mills Vikings football squad scored a close 14-7 victory over the Lynbrook Vikings.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) in a Peninsula - Lake match, on Friday, October 7. Mills will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Matadors enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 42-35 league win over Saratoga (Saratoga, CA).
