The Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC) football defeated the host Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC), 19-6 in Thursday's league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC) in a 1A East Conference 9 bout, on Friday, October 7. Wilson Prep will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Pride enter the bout with a 1-5 record after their 50-0 non-league loss to Louisburg (Louisburg, NC).
