The Midland Christian Mustangs (Midland, TX) football edged the host Bishop Lynch Friars (Dallas, TX), 32-27 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the All Saints Saints (Fort Worth, TX) in a TAPPS Division II District 1 bout, on Friday, October 6. Midland Christian will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Saints enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 38-20 non-league loss to Anna (Anna, TX).

The Friars (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Parish Episcopal (Dallas, TX). The Panthers enter the TAPPS Division I District 1 bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Parish Episcopal nudged China Spring (China Spring, TX), 38-22, in a non-league bout.
