The Northwest Mohawks football team (McDermott, OH), was ripped 33-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH)

The Vikings (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against River Valley (Bidwell, OH). The Raiders go into the Tri-Valley - Ohio outing with a 0-8 record. In their last outing, River Valley was trounced by Alexander (Albany, OH), 21-0, in a league outing.

With the loss, Northwest moves to 3-5 on the season. The Mohawks host Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH) to confront the Senators in a Southern Ohio II outing on Friday, October 6. The Senators go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Portsmouth West won 41-7 in their recent league outing against Valley (Lucasville, OH)
